Ask your vet about 2 tasty bacon-flavored options for heartworm protection for your dog.
IVERHART MAX Soft Chew is labeled for dogs and puppies 8 weeks of age and older.
The safe use of this drug has not been evaluated in pregnant or lactating dogs.
Chewing is not required, but it is important that the dog ingests the entire dose and care should be taken to ensure it’s effective. If it is suspected that any of the dose has been lost, redosing is recommended.11
IVERHART MAX Soft Chew contains poultry as the only animal protein. Although "bacon flavored" it does not contain any pork proteins. If your dog has an allergy to chicken, we recommend you consult with your veterinarian before use of this medication.
IVERHART MAX Soft Chew prevents canine heartworm disease by eliminating the tissue stage of heartworm larvae (Dirofilaria immitis) for a month (30 days) after infection and for the treatment and control of roundworms (Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina), hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma braziliense), and tapeworms (Dipylidium caninum, Taenia pisiformis).
In addition to providing flea and heartworm prevention, you’ll also be protecting your dog against other important and common intestinal parasites: roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms.
For optimal flea and heartworm protection, you should give your dog SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews every 30 days.
SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews make protecting against parasites easy and delicious. Simply give the tasty, beef- and bacon-flavored chew to your dog along with a meal. Giving the product with a meal helps ensure full absorption and effectiveness of the medicine.
If you forget to give your dog a dose, then administer the missed dose as soon as possible and contact your veterinarian for instructions regarding next steps.
Both products protect dogs against heartworms, roundworms, and hookworms, but SENTINEL SPECTRUM Chews, with its unique combination of ingredients, protects against 3 additional common parasites that HEARTGARD doesn’t: fleas, whipworms, and tapeworms.
