Happy 2025 National Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week!
Happy National Vet Tech Week! This week, Virbac is celebrating the technicians who are so integral to keeping vet clinics up & running as well as keeping the quality of care for our pets so high! We have so many gifted veterinary technicians who work at Virbac and this year, we want to highlight one in particular who always goes above and beyond in her work. Lauren Girdner is an Associate Marketing Manager on our Dermatology, Heartworm, and Parasiticides team but prior to this, she was a vet tech for many years! When asked about her experience as a vet tech she had this to say:
“What I loved most about being a Vet Tech was the ability to help animals and their owners in times of need or by just providing the preventive care they needed. I also got to work with very unique animals like kangaroos and of course horses of all sizes. Surgery and equine embryo transfers were the most exciting parts of being a Vet Tech for me. Now working in the industry it's not as hands on but I still get to make a positive impact in animals lives and those that care for them.”
We recognize that vet techs are integral to the running of a veterinary office and their experiences often lead them to important positions wherever they choose to further their careers.
