The North American affiliate announces Mark Champ will join the Executive Leadership Team, effective October 9, 2023. As Vice President of Marketing, Mark will develop and drive a multi-channel marketing strategy, blending our regional dynamics with the global mission of providing innovative products to those who care for animals every day.  

Mark_Champ_(b2c)_news.jpgMark’s primary mission will be to create a true multichannel marketing strategy, building a retail and e-commerce avenue while enhancing our existing platform and partnerships with veterinarians. Mark brings over 15 years of experience in the animal health industry and a background dedicated to some of our most critical growth areas including nutrition and pharmaceuticals. With the full engagement of our local team and talented marketers, we are positioned to execute the growth goals in place for the US and Canada.

Mark will be based in the Westlake office. He, his wife Lisa and their 5-year-old son, David, will be relocating to Texas from Atlanta, GA. Mark will report to Giovanni Abruzzini, President and CEO of Virbac Corporation.

Mark holds an MBA from Washington University (St. Louis, MO) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration - BBA, Marketing/Management from Ohio University. During his tenured career in animal health and nutrition, he has worked in the US and globally, in Japan. Before joining Virbac, Mark held the position of Executive Director, Head of US Retail with Boehringer Ingelheim (BI). He has served in leadership capacities for BI, Colgate-Palmolive, supporting the Hill’s Pet Nutrition brand(s), Abbott Nutrition and Nestle Purina.  Mark has a demonstrated history of leading in times of significant growth, managing portfolios of over $1B in top line sales across channels, and launching e-commerce and online retail platforms.
