Today is one of our favorite days, National Puppy Day, the day we shower the young dogs in our lives with extra hugs and kisses, and treats and toys. 

March is National Pet Poison Prevention Month, a good time to remind pet owners that many household items can be poisonous to their four-legged companions.

We humans aren’t the only ones who celebrate love this time of year. Today, on February 20, pets get an extra dose of affection, thanks to National Love Your Pet Day.

Usually when the firemen of Rockwall Fire Station Number 2 see smoke, there’s trouble.  But on a recent cool September night, plumes of smoke drifting around Rockwall were from a welcome source: barbecue.

November is Pet Cancer Awareness Month, although early cancer detection in your pet is important every day.

Today is National Black Cat Day, the day we recognize the grace and magnificence of these beautiful felines. Well, at least most of us do. When it comes to black cats, some of us are, for some reason, ‘fraidy cats’.

Please take time this week to recognize and celebrate these invaluable animal healthcare workers, whose compassion and professional skills promote the health and well-being of our animals.
