Movodyl-Pet-Owner_image_green.jpgYour dog may have Osteoarthritis (OA)

OA is a degenerative condition that gradually damages the joints, resulting in pain and difficulty moving. When pain begins to adversely affect your pet’s life, it can impair your bond with them. OA can also result in other physical and behavioral changes, such as:

  • Limping, lameness, stiffness or decreased mobility
  • Exercise intolerance
  • Depression
  • Decreased energy levels or lethargy

There are multiple causes for the development of OA in your dog, like:

  • Poor joint structure
  • Traumatic injury
  • Normal wear and tear as dogs grow older
  • Obesity

No one knows your dog better than you!

To help you and your veterinarian determine if your dog is in pain, evaluate the following factors while observing your dog at home:

 • Energy & enthusiasm
 • Happiness & contentment
 • Activity & comfort
 • Calmness & relaxation

If your dog is struggling in any of these areas, it's time to formulate a treatment plan with your veterinarian to tackle your pet's pain.

Although there is no cure for OA, a proper treatment plan can help decrease pain, inflammation, and even slow the progression of OA in your dog.

Treatment can also help your dog:
• Increase physical activity
• Preserve current muscle mass & strength
• Improve mood & emotional well-being

Talk with your veterinarian today to see
how you can work together to help relieve
your dog’s OA or postoperative pain!
